Kids will be kids

Yesterday this little guy didn't take a nap at nap time. While cooking dinner I found him like this.

Asleep
Don't take your eye off of children while crafting, it's not pretty, and yes this is permanent marker.

Day 3

He's trained!!! NOT! It's over. I stopped trying at 3 o' clock today. I feel like a failure. Erica will laugh at me but I don't care. After talking with my mom asking her a few questions she asked me one. She said what does he do when he has an accident, I said I run him into the potty and let him finish there. She said to watch him the next time he has one and see what he does. I did, he peed and just watched it go on the floor, then went back to watching his show, looked at the ground again, and said "poo" (it was pee though), he looked at me, then went back to watching his show. That was it. No oops, no momma, no potty, no nothing. What a waste, he's not ready, no point in keeping up something he does not understand yet. I feel bad for wasting 3 days, and by the way the 3 day method is crap!!! according to me. We'll try later on, plus with cloth diapers I'm not out any more money to keep diapering. Wish me luck in the future.

Day 2

Well Payton had 10 accidents, and 7 hits in the toilet. He didn't have a single accident until 1 pm then he just gave up. Then I wanted to give up. Then the dad came home and made it worse. Don't tell him I said that. I'm not even attempting to potty train him at night. Won't do it, not right now. Hopefully day 3 will yield more progress. Cross your fingers, I know I'm gonna. I'm praying for these words, "pee pee momma".

Day 1

Quite a few accidents, but by the end of the day he was pretty understanding of the whole process. He doesn't drink as much as I try to offer. He's sick of the little potty so he sits backwards on the big one. He didn't nap so he fell asleep early and woke up quite a few times. He never peed the bed until 4 a.m. I talked with my mom and she informed me that kids quite frequently pee during the night, and that my kid is "normal" hahaha. We'll just keep him in something other than underwear for night times for awhile. Other than that I would say a pretty successful day. I'm proud of my little toddler.

Potty Training

We are starting potty training tomorrow. I will be trying the 3 day method. Oh joy! I've got plenty of juices and snacks, plenty of underwear, and hopefully enough will power to keep going. Luckily Parker is a good baby so I can try to do this at all. I tried to start last Thursday but by the end of the day I realized I had way to busy of a weekend ahead of me to even try to start the process. He did pretty well but we had to take a break. Then tonight he went #1 and #2 in the potty, but then had another accident after that. We put him in a diaper for the night. We will hit it hard in the morning. Wish me luck. I will keep you posted if I have the time, if not I will let you know the end result. :) Hopefully he'll be potty trained by Friday.

Chalk board

This was a magnetic calendar used to keep my life straight, well that never worked so I changed it to a child's chalk board.
BEFORE
As you can see Payton got a hold of it and some of the numbers got lost...

AFTER
Now he can play with it as much as he wants.

Isn't it weird how different the carpet looks at different times of the day...

Old Macdonald, and I spy

I found a blog that had a pattern to make cutest little hand puppets ever. Here's how they turned out. They aren't as cute as the creators, but oh well, I'm sure my boy will love them anyway, even if old macdonald looks like moses.
the website is:
Here is the I spy bag that I made, with snap on tools inside no less. Complements of dad's pretend toys. There are other things as well. We do like some diversity.
We'll always know who it belongs to.
